What makes the Better Tap better than a standard tap?
The Better Tap is built in Australia around a German ceramic disc and a purpose-built, lead free filtered-water pathway. Ordinary imported taps are industry standard: adapted from a general design, with shorter-lived parts and no pathway made for filtered water.

The heart of the Better Tap is a German-made Flühs ceramic disc valve, a precision component from one of the world's leading ceramic valve specialists.
It controls the feel, movement and shut-off of the tap: the part you use every day, often without thinking about it. Smooth action, reliable sealing and long-term performance all start there.

Not adapted. Engineered for purity.
Ordinary tap construction was not good enough for the water leaving our purifier. So the filtered-water side of the Better Tap was developed specifically for Puratap.
The result is a pathway designed to be lead free, from the purifier all the way to the glass, and accredited specifically for delivering filtered water, not just ordinary tap water.

What finishes and shapes does it come in?
The Better Tap comes in four shapes: Clarity (curved gooseneck), Industry (squared spout), Elegance (tall twin-lever) and Purity (arched spout), in four finishes: Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Matte Gold and Matte Black.
Is the Better Tap lead free?
Yes. The Better Tap's filtered-water pathway is designed to be lead free, all the way from the purifier to the glass, and is accredited specifically for delivering filtered water rather than ordinary tap water.
